From a thermodynamical perspective, the production of electricity by aid of wind is the second most efficient process, beaten by hydropower only, and when electricity is used this should always be considered a main alternative.
Contracting electricity deliveries from wind-power plants will make the industrial process qualify as operated on wind energy as the primary resource.
